The Shaman’s Oil

The Cofan’s are an indigenous community living in the Amazonian rainforest. They believe in spirit beings known as ‘Coan-Coan’ who sleep in the earth and their blood is oil. In 1969 the first oil companies arrived to drill for this oil. This film portrays one community’s fight against the exploitation and pollution caused by the petrochemical companies and reminds us that when we work together with belief much is possible.www.redamazon.com
